A Charter member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Demon Deacons have won 59 conference titles and are one of nine ACC schools to win 11 or more national championships. Wake Forest Football will face Notre Dame in the 2027 Duke’s Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Saturday, Oct. 9. The matchup spotlights Wake Forest’s deep Charlotte connections, and ticket details will be announced at a later date. Go Deacs!

Wake Forest–Notre Dame matchup to highlight university’s deep Charlotte ties
Across an institution that is continuously expanding its commitment to Charlotte, the news of a huge venue and a bigger stage for the contest branded as the Duke’s Mayo Classic is neither surprising nor distant. Already boasting the largest academic footprint in the Queen City of any Atlantic Coast Conference member, Wake Forest intends to use athletics as an opportunity for comprehensive community engagement.
